We are StreamData
We are an interdisciplinary team formed at the University of Concepción in 2024. We believe that data should be easily accessible to everyone. That's why we created StreamData: to develop solutions that allow people to access data and make decisions based on information in seconds.
Our story
March 2024
The initial idea
It was the beginning of the 2024 academic year when we gathered with a clear purpose: to bring the world of data closer to people in a simple, accessible way, without a steep learning curve. The brainstorming sessions had the same abundance and persistence that characterizes Concepción. We didn't solve everything that day, but it was a good starting point and the moment we connected our motivation with a real organizational need: accessing their data quickly and simply, to make decisions that generate value.

Our first project: La Tercera
From a social perspective, StreamData has created various political data platforms powered by our own technology, with the goal of democratizing access to information and projections for all citizens. Our first platform was built in 2024 in partnership with Diario La Tercera, a milestone where we designed the first electoral map with geolocation of voting locations in Chile. This initiative not only set a trend among public data tools, but also allowed us to visualize results at the neighborhood level. This advancement gained special importance due to its context: being the first local election with mandatory voting, we knew it would foreshadow political preferences for the following year. Fortunately, we were not wrong.

December 2024
OTL Licensing
To consolidate our project as a company, we initiated a process guided by Incuba UdeC and the Office of Technology Transfer and Licensing, which culminated in a formal agreement with the University of Concepción and officially recognized us as a UdeC spin-off.

Start-Up Chile: Build
With the goal of accelerating the development of our platform, we applied to Start-Up Chile's Build program, where we were selected among the 18 participating startups. It was an experience that strengthened our commercial capabilities and gave us the tools to enter the market with greater strength.

Snap
In October 2025 we launched SNAP, our artificial intelligence platform for advanced reporting, the result of months of work, testing, and continuous improvement. With SNAP we want to optimize the way organizations produce their reports: less time searching and presenting data, more time analyzing and making data-based decisions.

2025
Silla Caliente
The following year, in 2025, we launched the "Silla Caliente" platform. Its name refers to the tension of the D'Hondt system in the election of deputies, where it is almost impossible to have certainty about who will be elected until the last moment; an uncertainty that is lived minute by minute, especially in rural areas. Inspired by this phenomenon, we designed a tool that allowed simulating electoral pacts and visualizing the distribution of seats by party. This initiative drove a debate that reached the main media in the country, turning our projections into a key input for analyzing political fragmentation, citizen disaffection, and the role of political parties as guardians of democracy.

December 2025
Science with Impact Award
We ended the year being recognized by the University of Concepción in the Innovative Start-Up category in the ninth edition of the Science with Impact awards.

January 2026
Start-Up Chile: Pitch Day
We closed our stage in Start-Up Chile's Build program, presenting our product to investors and relevant actors in the innovation ecosystem.

March 2026
Start-Up Chile: Ignite
Currently, we are moving through a new stage in Start-Up Chile, participating in the Ignite program. In this, our objective is to generate an increase in sales and greater traction in the Chilean market, to become leaders at a national level.

Artificial intelligence
We develop and apply AI agents specialized in data querying and report generation. Our Snap product is the result of intensive work by the team, developing the technology and adapting it to user needs.
Political analysis
We combine data science with political analysis to deliver strategic intelligence to actors in the political, governmental, and communications worlds. We understand the context, not just the numbers.
